Gatsby essay.

Is gatsbys desire for success evidence of the American dream, obsession, personal sense of honor, or something else? Does gatsby symbolize our culture and even our own desires, of us he an outlier?   I think gatsby is the perfect representation of the American dreamer. Why? Gatsby wanted to be rich, have the finer things, throw parties, etc. everybody wants to be somebody without doing hard work. Even in today’s society people are rich yet they aren’t happy as they’d like. Some people just can’t have enough attention.   I think back in the time of the book, to be successful it was easier. There were more opportunities for people such as immigrants back in those days. For example many people that came then could’ve became citizens faster. Now that is near impossible to do because of how messed up the world is. Pathway after high school

school has never been my thing. I hate studying, sitting for hours, getting told what to do, etc. lately I’ve been super stressed with school. My math teacher killed my desire to learn I’ve been skipping his class now or not caring, sadly. I think my true pathway is to go to barber school or cosmo after I graduate. By doing so I’ll be my own boss and my dream has always been to open up my own barber shop one day.

Baca poem

My opinion on this poem is that the way the author writes is really creative. He writes in a way that drags us to keep reading. He uses figurative language and has a good flow with his words. At first I was confused where the setting was but as I analyzed the words I figured he was a in a cell. He writes about his routines and how he has learned to accept his position in society. I think this power is really heart touching because some people in jail are there unfair.
